We are excited to announce that the Emergency Management Division (EMD) is implementing a communication platform called GovDelivery to better serve our partners. GovDelivery will allow us to deliver important Hazard Mitigation Assistance funding updates, news, and programmatic information directly to your inbox, ensuring you stay informed about matters that impact you.

Effective October 17, 2025, important alerts such as Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) will be sent via GovDelivery messaging and will no longer be delivered to pre-existing email distribution lists.

To continue receiving funding opportunity communication from us, we ask you to sign up for GovDelivery by following the simple steps below:

How to Sign Up:

1. Click on or copy the following link into your browser: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/WAMILITARY/subscriber/topics?qsp=EMD_Subscribe

2. Enter your email address and select the topics or programs you are interested in receiving updates about.

3. Note that there is an option for Hazard Mitigation Assistance under the “Resilience” topic, and under “Financial Operations & Grants.” Selecting either of those will sign you up to receive Hazard Mitigation Assistance Notice of Funding Opportunity alerts.

4. Please answer all of the registration questions, such as "jurisdiction" and “county”, as thoroughly as possible. These questions are used to filter the target audiences for notifications, and we want to make sure you get the notifications that fit your needs!

5. Click "Subscribe" to complete the sign-up process.

This does not mean that this email, hma@mil.wa.gov is going away; we will still be here to answer questions and discuss specifics. However, no alerts for funding opportunities will be distributed this way moving forward.
