CH-47 Chinook
Introduced by Boeing in 1962, the CH-47, Chinook is a multi-mission, heavy-lift transport helicopter. Its primary mission is to move troops, artillery, ammunition, fuel, water, barrier materials, supplies and equipment on the battlefield. Its secondary missions include medical evacuation, disaster relief, search and rescue, aircraft recovery, fire fighting, parachute drops, heavy construction and civil development. First deployed to the Vietnam War, the Chinook continues to be the standard for the U.S. Army in the global campaign against terrorism.
UH-60 Black Hawk
The UH-60 Black Hawk, developed by Sikorsky, has been operational in the US Army since 1978. More than 2,000 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter variants are in service with the US Military and more than 600 exported. Black Hawk helicopters have logged over four million flying hours, including a diverse range of combat missions in Grenada, Panama, in the liberation of Kuwait, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq and numerous humanitarian and rescue missions including operations in Bosnia.
UH-72 Lakota
The UH-72A Lakota is the U.S. Army's new multi-mission helicopter. Selected in June 2006 following a rigorous evaluation, it combines operational capability, reliability and affordability, fulfilling all of the Army's requirements for speed, range, endurance and overall performance. Airbus Group’s UH-72A Lakota serve the National Guard as a key element in the military service’s modernization of its aviation assets – providing a highly capable helicopter for missions that include homeland security, drug interdiction, general support, logistics and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC).
C-12 Hurons
Put into rotation in 1974, The C-12 Huron is a military version of an executive passenger and transport aircraft based on the Beech Model 200 Super King Air. It is primarily used by the US Air Force, US Navy, US Army and US Marine Corps for several functions, including range clearance, embassy support, medical evacuation, VIP transport, passenger and light cargo transport
