To request WA National Guard service and discharge records under the Privacy Act, please contact the appropriate component below:

WA Army National Guard (Discharge date 2004 to present) – Access U.S. Army Human Resources Command at https://www.hrcapps.army.mil/portal/. Login with your CAC or user name and password (If you do not have either you will need to register for a username and password at the bottom of the page).

WA Army National Guard (Discharge date 2004 and prior) – Request records from State Archives by sending a completed, signed Standard Form 180 (Request Pertaining to Military Records) to EABranchArchives@sos.wa.gov or (509) 235-7505 (fax). Washington Secretary of State Archives Branch can be reached by phone at (509) 235-7508.

WA Air National Guard – contact Air Reserves Personnel Center at 1 (800) 525-0102, or the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration at 1 (866) 272-6272. Some service and discharge records prior to 2004 may also be requested from Washington Secretary of State Archives Branch listed above.
