A Central Computerized Enforcement Service System (ACCESS)

ACCESS is a Washington State Patrol (WSP) - owned and operated data system that supports all law enforcement agencies within the state. ACCESS is only available through the State Government Network (SGN) or the Inter-governmental Network (IGN), provided by WaTech. Through this system, criminal investigation information, vehicle license information, and other essential law enforcement information is exchanged.

For emergency management purposes, WSP has authorized and supports use of ACCESS for dissemination of warning and notification information to local jurisdictions. Information is received in a narrative/text format. Local emergency management agencies through arrangements with respective police or sheriff departments are to receive information as needed.

Such information includes any weather warnings, watches, other emergency weather situations, and any information that poses a threat to a jurisdiction or of events that occur within the jurisdiction due to a natural and/or technological emergency/disaster situation.
